FOLKSY
Good evening, it's been a mix of a day today. I've tried to take some better photographs for my floral animal head prints and postcards on Folksy, I will be updating my shop too.
LAST WEEKEND OF THE SALE!
This is the last weekend of my January sale, so have a wee browse and enter the code GIMMIE at the checkout to cheer yourself up form those January blues.
Lots of pretty floral vintage Mr Stags and Mr Roes, wee narwhals and prints. I will be adding a few new prints and updated products in February so keep your eyes peeled for that!
GIANT MR STAG
A new made to order Mr Giant Stag has been added to the shop, made from a vintage floral curtain called Brecon Osprey you can find him in the shop here if you want to have him in your home.
Ook in Het paars
These can be found online at Ook in Het Paars in The Netherlands.
Ookinhetpaars was founded in 2009 by Claudia van den Berg.
"I love the texture of fabrics and wool. That's why I started making interior products. The love of crafts goes back to my childhood. My mother has a haberdashery shop and I learned from her knitting, embroidery and making clothes themselves. The love for handmade is also reflected in my house where I have held my own chairs and my homemade pillows on the couch. Unique, craft items give much more look to an interior.
Besides the homemade collection, Ookinhetpaars is always looking for products that complement the range in appearance, identity and uniqueness. This is characterized in home accessories that are often made from recycled materials. When you find Ookinhetpaars woolen plaids, beautiful tea towels, vase covers, tableware, colorful postcards, recycled notebooks, gift tags and more. All for a colorful interior. Make your home beautiful with Ookinhetpaars. "
Pretty Nostalgic.
Thanks to the lovely ladies at Pretty Nostalgic Magazine for putting a Mr Giant Stag in the latest edition, which is out now.
Maine
This Giant Mr Stag is made form a pair of old Sanderson curtains. I love this fabric so much, it's called Maine I need some more, at the moment I only have enough to make one giant three medium and a few small. So they are few and far between unless some more appears at my doorstep. You can find this beauty in Curiouser and Curiouser, I can assure you he won't be there for long.
Blackbirds singing in the dead of night...
I have always wanted a pub or restaurant to have a fabric stuffed Mr Stag hanging on their wall and to my unknown surprise a Mr Stag pops up in the recently opened Blackbird at Tolcross, so go and have a nosey and a wee pint as well.
Prints.
So I have been drawing, I should draw all the time but I don't. I just tend to jump into making things with rough sketches behind them so this time a concerted effort is being made. These are now for sale in my shop modestly priced I hope, they are A4 and printed on recycled card. I have a few bunnies mounting so you may see more soon. I hope you like them. PRINTS
Curiouser and Curiouser
Mr Roe vintage table cloth £28
These are now in the Curiouser and Curiouser shop, not online I am afraid but give them a call.
Mr Stag £48 vintage curtains.
Miss Foxette £28 vintage curtains.
Giant.
Two recently made Giant Mr Stags, one is made from the customers own fabric and above was a faded curtain.
Down the generations.
This was a mothers day gift I made a couple of years ago, my Mum designed and printed this silk when she was in art school, it was made into a dress but got a a bit disheveled over the years so I made it into a Mr Stag and gave it back to her. I love the pattern. She is so talented I wish I had her drawing skills.
A blushing Mr Roe
A new to me fabric, this was a duvet cover, I am not normally a pink person but this fabric is lovely and works really well. I will be putting them in my shop later today but if you like visiting shops this colour way is stocked in Hannah Zakari in Edinburgh.
This fabric is not vintage but I could not resist! It is so cute.
Red Hot and Blue.
I made this commission Giant Mr Stag for Red Hot and Blue Tattoo in Edinburgh, it's a Henry Alexander fabric called Osteology I love the fabric.
